Baltimore County Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) contacted HGI earlier this week regarding the Gambrills’ Barn (located next to the Woman’s Club). Instead of demolition, the Gambrills have decided to submit an application for MHT tax credits to renovate the barn. This is welcome news. Way back when, this barn was used by students and teachers who attended Glyndon’s one-room schoolhouse on Butler Road to stable their horses. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Gambrill family for preserving a building that holds a unique place in Glyndon’s history.
